At the beginning of the hackathon, various project ideas and challenges will be presented. You can work on the project idea that inspires you most.
No, the Hackdays are not only for developers, but also for designers, energy specialists, lateral thinkers & makers as well as journalists and programmers.
The Hackdays are free of charge.
Thanks to our sponsors and partners. Food (including breakfast), electricity/ basic workplace infrastructure and internet are also provided.
No, that’s not necessary either. It is important that you contribute to the success of your chosen project and discuss with your team when and where you work
You can stay overnight directly on site with your sleeping mat and sleeping bag, but this is not the most comfortable option. Therefore, we have organized alternatives for you and the best thing is, we will cover the overnight costs from Friday to Saturday for you if you actively participate in the Energy Data Hackdays.
Just choose one of the three overnight options:

3. possibility to stay overnight at Hotel Gotthard:
Please book directly with the hotel via the website (www.hotelgotthard.ch/hotel.html) or write an email to kontakt@hotelgotthard.ch
In the booking you should mention that you are participating in the Energy Data Hackdays
Attention: In case of single occupancy in a double room, the extra charge has to be paid by yourself.
It`s English.
In the groups, feel free to adapt to your preferences.
The most important thing: interest in the themes energy and data.
Don't forget your laptop. You should also bring pens and possibly a sleeping bag.
If you are coming from outside Switzerland, please don't forget your power adapter. We can only provide a limited number.
However, we will provide you with a basic set of materials such as papers, flipcharts, post-it, food and drinks.
We want the resulting Hackdays projects to have a long-term, sustainable impact. Accordingly, partner organizations and Challenge Owners are happy to continue to support and promote promising projects and results to the best of their abilities.
